crafts是什麼意思

craft是一個英文單詞，爲動詞、名詞，作動詞時意爲“精巧地製作”。
作名詞時意爲“工藝；手藝；太空船；人名；(英、德、羅)克拉夫特”。
單詞發音 英 [krɑːft] 美 [kræft]

starcraft 本來的意思是占星術。
這裏的craft理解爲sicence/art。
類似的warcraft，本義是兵法。
遊戲StarCraft，millitary science fiction RTS game，看wiki介紹，遊戲是有小說打底的，實際上也出了很多本小說。
可能很少有人注意C是大寫，明顯是有意安排的，普遍都是理解爲the craft of star，可以根據craft的不同意思理解爲星球策略、星球製造。
查Craft詞源，還有"power, physical strength, might" (old English)，至於原作者有沒有這方面的意思就不太清楚。
至於星際爭霸的翻譯，明顯是根據實際的遊戲玩法意譯來的。

不就是因爲他意識到了設計是一種團隊協作的產物，而不是個人的手工藝品。
包括成立莫里斯商行設計行會組織，工藝美術運動的名稱“Arts and Crafts”，其目的不就是爲了打破藝術與手工藝之間的界線，將各行各業的手工藝人納入藝術家的殿堂。
